Jon Haufler

Managing Partner, Certified Wildlife Biologist, Wildlife, Forest, and Range Ecologist

Jon is arecognized leader in the field of wildlife management.  He has had a diverse background from academia, industry, and in the non-profit sector.  He has prepared and implemented wildlife and ecosystem diversity plans for individual landowners, state and Federal agencies, and collaborative initiatives covering entire regions of the country.  He has designed and implemented management practices and treatments in both forest and rangeland ecosystems.  He has a thorough knowledge of wildlife ecology and habitat needs, and how to implement actions to produce desired responses in wildlife populations.   As the Managing Partner of CWS, Jon will be directly involved in oversight of all projects with clients.  He is committed to having CWS exceed client expectations, and will work with CWS staff to ensure that this occurs. In his spare time, Jon is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hunting, fishing, horseback riding, skiing, and mountaineering.
